When we think of grooming our dogs, we usually picture baths, brushing, and maybe a nail trim—but one of the most overlooked areas during grooming is your dog’s paws!
Your dog’s paws take on a lot—hot pavement, sharp ice, muddy puddles, and everything in between. A quick and simple grooming habit to adopt is checking and cleaning between the paw pads regularly. Dirt, debris, and even small pebbles can get stuck between the pads and cause discomfort or infections if ignored.
Here’s a quick paw care routine you can follow:
Check for debris after walks or playtime.
Wipe paws with a damp cloth or pet-safe wipe.
Trim fur between pads if it gets long—it helps prevent matting and keeps dirt from sticking.
Moisturize dry or cracked pads with a pet-safe balm, especially in extreme weather.
Your pup may not thank you with words, but those tail wags will say it all. A little extra paw attention goes a long way in keeping your furry friend happy, healthy, and ready for their next adventure! 🐾✨
